Who

The medieval commentaries that circulated under the name of Haymo, bishop of Halberstadt (d. 853), a pupil of Alcuin with Rabanus Maurus, are now mostly ascribed to Haymo of Auxerre (d. c. 865), a monk of Saint-Germain d'Auxerre and teacher of Heiric. Under either name the work is the same: homilies on the Gospels and commentaries on Paul, Revelation and the Song of Songs woven from the Fathers. The Catena Aurea cites "Haymo" on the Gospel lessons.
