Who

A synod of bishops from Asia Minor and Syria held at Ancyra (Ankara) in 314, just after the persecution of Maximinus Daia. Its twenty-five canons fix the penances of clergy and laity who had lapsed under persecution, and rule on marriage, adultery, magic and the ordination of deacons; they were taken into the universal code of canons received by the ecumenical councils.
