2 Kings 15:29 (WEB)

In the days of Pekah king of Israel, Tiglath Pileser king of Assyria came and took Ijon, Abel Beth Maacah, Janoah, Kedesh, Hazor, Gilead, and Galilee, all the land of Naphtali; and he carried them captive to Assyria.

  • “But as time went on, they offended God, and in the reign of Pekah, Tiglath-Pileser came up, and took many cities, and set upon Elah, and having slain him, gave the kingdom to Hoshea. ( 2 Kings xv. 29.)” — editor's note: This account does not agree with the history, (2 Kings xv. 29, 30 ,) but there is no other reading.
