CommentAugustine of HippoPublic domainMark 13:21–27

For since it was said by the Angels to the Apostles, “He shall so come in like manner as ye have seen Him go into heaven,” [Acts 1:11] rightly do we believe that He will come not only in the same body, but on a cloud, since He is to come as He went away, and a cloud received Him as He was going.

Reproduced in full. Translation: Oxford 1841 (Newman), public domain (Public domain).
