In Jewish Roots of Mary

Why it is cited

'As in Eve their mother great was their reproach, lo! in Mary their sister greatly magnified was their honor.' Ephrem's Syriac voice in the New Eve chorus.

Notes

NPNF Nativity Hymn XV, stanza 23 (its stanza number matches the modern Beck/McVey numbering here). NPNF's hymn order does not always match Beck/McVey, but this stanza is the Eve/Mary one asked for.
