Who
The eldest son of Japheth (Genesis 10:2), and father of Ashkenaz, Riphath and Togarmah (Genesis 10:3). His people, placed in the far north, are named by Ezekiel among Gog’s allies (Ezekiel 38:6); ancient writers identified them with the Cimmerians. He is not Gomer the wife of the prophet Hosea.
