Who
The firstborn son of Hezron of the tribe of Judah, and brother of Ram, through whom David’s line runs: “The sons also of Hezron, who were born to him: Jerahmeel, Ram, and Chelubai” (1 Chronicles 2:9). His many descendants are listed in 1 Chronicles 2:25–41. The Jerahmeelites lived in the Negev, south of Judah; David told Achish he had raided “against the South of the Jerahmeelites” (1 Samuel 27:10), and later sent them a share of his spoil (1 Samuel 30:29).
