Who

Teacher of rhetoric at Sicca Veneria in Numidia, and by Jerome's account the teacher of Lactantius. Having attacked the faith, he became a Christian, and wrote the seven books Against the Heathen (Adversus Nationes), under Diocletian, to show the sincerity of his conversion. The work mocks the pagan gods at length, but says little of Christian teaching and less of Scripture.
