Who

Bishop of Bostra in the Roman province of Arabia, denounced to Julian the Apostate by the pagans of his city and defended by his own flock. His four books Against the Manichaeans are the fullest early reply to that sect, and his homilies on Luke survive in the Greek catenae, from which the Catena Aurea quotes him.

See of Bostra, c. 362–378.
