The Creator
“The Old Testament suggests and the New Covenant reveals the creative action of the Son and the Spirit,” — Catechism footnote: Cf. Pss 33 6; 104:30; Gen 1:2-3.
“God "gives life to the dead and calls into existence the things that do not exist." and since God was able to make light shine in darkness by his Word, he can also give the light of faith to those who do not yet know him.” — Catechism footnote: Cf. Gen 1:3; 2 Cor 4:6.
Heaven and Earth
God himself created the visible world in all its richness, diversity and order. Scripture presents the work of the Creator symbolically as a succession of six days of divine "work", concluded by the "rest" of the seventh day.
