Key words

ἀναστᾶσα… ἐπορεύθηanastasa… eporeuthē · Greek
'arose… and went' — matching the Septuagint of 2 Samuel 6:2, where David 'arose and went' to bring up the ark.
εἰς τὴν ὀρεινὴν… πόλιν Ἰούδαeis tēn oreinēn… polin Iouda · Greek
'into the hill country… a city of Judah' — the same region to which David went for the ark.

Why it matters

Mary arises and goes into the hill country of Judah, exactly as David did to fetch the ark. This is the first of Pitre's four Visitation parallels with 2 Samuel 6. Luke is composing the scene so that a reader who knows the Scriptures sees the ark of the covenant being carried once more into Judah.
