Why it matters
John leaps in his mother's womb and Elizabeth cries out with a loud voice. Pitre's third parallel with the ark procession: David leaped before the ark, and Israel brought it up with shouting. The unborn prophet and his mother greet the new ark exactly as David and Israel greeted the old.
