He who sits on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” He said, “Write, for these words of God are faithful and true.”

Why it matters

The One on the throne makes all things new. Pitre ends chapter 2 here (p 41): Mary, the New Eve, is the beginning of the new creation, the supreme example of what God's grace can do in a mere human creature, and the promise that in the resurrection we too will be completely free from sin.
