CommentAmbrose of MilanPublic domainLuke 4:14–21

You see the Trinity coeternal and perfect. The Scripture speaks of Jesus as perfect God and perfect man. It speaks of the Father, and the Holy Spirit, who was shewn to be a cooperator, when in a bodily form as a dove He descended upon Christ.

Reproduced in full. Translation: Oxford 1841 (Newman), public domain (Public domain).
